A little tune I've (half written)

Summer holidays are a starting

Alice Tiebreak: School's out for ....?

been messing about with another tune over the last few days  http://www.guitarblast.com/freeshare/download.php?file=918640
Not finished, it could do with a real actual different riff to replace the widdles at ~40 seconds and break up the monotony. And the attempt at an outro solo is pathetic (it won't be the last attempt - on no). And of course it needs some singing (or at least my be approximation of said skill).

Maybe I'll look over craiglist and make an Evil TPD MFC entry. Speaking of Evil MFC entries I can't get "whore" out of my brain good job I think it's fantastic.

Boy's birthday was fun

Girl's school breaks up today, ah the joy of summer holidays!

Not bad soloing... by Breaker (4.00 / 2) #2 Wed Jul 25, 2007 at 08:11:43 AM EST
How about a bit like the first 10 seconds of the Final Countdown?

Tie-Breaker:
School's Out for as long as it takes to clean up the blood and polyfilla the bulletholes.

I meant for the solo at ~40s for Final Countdown-esq.

Some ideas and suggestions:

After the repeated solo at 2:20, start playing the root notes of the chord progression high up the neck with fuckloads of OD, vibrato and slide to each new note.  Volume swell if you're feeling flash.

Rhythm @ 2:52, play the arpeggio notes heavily muted and double each note.

Also try the following in the outro, looks a lot scarier than it is:

---------12h15p12-------------------
------13----------13----------------
---14----------------14-12-PH~11\~9--
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------

And get some Thunderhorse-esq chugging in there too on the riff at ~00:25 - the duhn-duh-duh-duh-duhn-duhn-duhn style.

At this rate I may be getting my guitar set up sooner than I thought...

School's out for reasons that can't be expanded on due to the numerous lawsuits surrounding the alleged crime and the rights of the alleged little bastards who allegedly deserved every bit of it.

"...for the weather!" It isn't all that clever, but it makes sense given the flooding the UK has seen lately. It almost reminds me of how the summer has been so far here in Houston, although we have had our first two days of sun yesterday and the day prior for the first time in months.

I feel somehow dirtied by the whole process of writingt and recording that.  Not nearly as bad as the writer of the original ad (NSFW text) should feel.
